Camden is a charming harbor town on the Penobscot bay in Midcoast Maine, with many fun activities for you and your family to enjoy before, during, and after your woodworking class. The town boasts about 20 restaurants, pubs, or delis within walking distance of the school, which is located on High Street, in the historic district.

ATTRACTIONS FOR WOODWORKERS

Woodworkers will especially be interested in visiting some of these nearby attractions:

  • "Lie-Nielsen Toolworks" (15 min. away)

  • "The Apprentice Shop" wooden boat school (14 min. away)

  • "Liberty Tool Company" antique tools (30 min. away) 

  • Windsor Chairmakers" (9 min. away).  Their furniture and carvings showroom is a 19 room 1840 period house that rambles on and on.  Their work is really some of the finest hand craftsmanship anywhere.  This is a Maine Sate landmark must see for woodworkers and carvers.  

OUTDOORS & FALL COLORS

The Camden area boasts numerous short hikes and walks with phenomenal views, which are only enhanced in the autumn. Visitors can enjoy 30 incredible miles of hiking trails which are right outside our door.
